What kind of cars can qualify for log book loans?

Generally speaking, your car must be less than 10 years old and be worth at least £200 depending on the log book loan provider you select from our directory. For example, if your car is worth £1,000 then your car should qualify with all our providers for a loan of about £500. Your car must be paid in full or at least 80% paid to qualify. If your car is a collectors classic model then of course it may qualify even if it is older than the 10 year guideline.

Does my car have to be fully paid?

No, check with the provider in your area, but it must be at least 80% paid for or fully paid.

Does my car need to have an MOT?

Yes it does. You will need to get an MOT on your car before you can get a log book loan.

Do you need to see my car before I can get a loan?

Yes we do. When you have chosen your loan provider. They will arrange an appointment at a branch near you, for you to come in and see them. You will need to bring your car, log book and any other documentation they require in order to get your loan. The good news is that you can drive away with your loan within a couple of minutes once they have seen your documents.

If I use my car as security, does that mean I have to leave my car with you?

No, your car log book is used as security and you get to drive home with your cash loan right there and then. After you have repaid your loan in full, your log book will be returned to you.
