Introduction to our Logbook Loans Directory

What is a log book loan?

It is a loan which is secured against the value of your vehicle using your log book. This could be a car, van, motorbike or caravan or anything which has a logbook or V5C document, although cars are usually the fastest and most common. You can continue to use your car or other vehicle while you make your repayments for your loan( your V5C document is held by the lender as security). This makes the process quite simple and doesn't usually involve a credit check.

Why get a logbook loan?

They are a quick and easy way to get a secured loan and are usually used by people who have been refused a loan from the banks and other financial sources or those who have a bad credit history. They can usually be paid within 24 hours of applying and you should be able to pick up your cash there at the branch as soon as you drop off your logbook. Our providers can generally lend much more than other same day loan providers such as payday lenders who only lend up to £1000. V5C loans are usually available up to the value of your car or other vehicle.

How do they compare to payday Advances?

Both payday advances and logbook loans are fast same day loans for people with bad credit. If you own a car then you may prefer a log book loan as the APR or interest rates are generally a lot lower and you have a more flexible repayment period, meaning that you don't have to pay the whole loan back in full on your payday. A logbook loan is also useful if you need more than £300 and want it paid on the same day in cash and don't want to wait for the cash to clear in your bank account, which could take a couple of days. Many online payday lenders have developed strict rules which prevent the people who really need the money from getting accepted for a loan. With us there are no credit checks and loans are secured using your vehicle which gives you a far greater possibility that your application will be accepted and that you will be paid in cash when you visit a local branch.
